In June 2019 CWA Next Generation and District 3 co-sponsored a new training targeted to the needs of young union members. The participants included two passenger service agents, Jasiman Turner (Piedmont, CLT) and Richard Sanjuan (AA, MIA).
Tragedy visited our CWA Agents family on Sunday, August 11, when passenger service agent Kendrick Darrell Hudson died on the job at Charlotte Douglas International airport. Agents honored his memory at a vigil on August 18.
As of January 1, 2019, new protections from assault went into effect for passenger service agents across the country. Since January, we have been meeting with American Airlines to determine exactly how we will implement tools and policies to make the assault protections a reality at all our airports.

Your CWA-IBT Association bargaining team met with six American financial and labor relations experts today to review and verify the company’s computation of the Profit Sharing “Bonus Pool” for Passenger Service Employees (technically Pre-Tax Income Excluding Special Charges, or Items) and the profit sharing pool payout.
The Bargaining Committee is announcing an agreement regarding interim grievance and preferential hiring. This agreement is a temporary bridge until a final collective bargaining agreement is reached.
